Fotbal

Fotbal, known as soccer in many parts of the world, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each, on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The objective of the game is to score by getting a ball into the opposing team’s goal. It is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, established by the International Football Association Board (IFAB). The sport is played in accordance with these rules, which define aspects such as the size of the field, the duration of the match, and the roles of the players. Fotbal is governed internationally by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), which organizes major competitions like the FIFA World Cup.

In addition to professional leagues and international competitions, fotbal is also widely played at recreational and amateur levels globally, making it one of the most popular sports in the world. Its simplicity, requiring minimal equipment, contributes to its universal appeal. The game promotes teamwork, physical fitness, and strategic thinking among participants. Various forms of the sport exist, including futsal (indoor football) and beach soccer, adapting the core principles of the game to different environments.
