Animation

Animation is the process of creating the illusion of movement by displaying a series of individual images, or frames, in rapid succession. These images can be drawings, paintings, photographs, or computer-generated graphics. The principle behind animation is based on the phenomenon known as persistence of vision, where the human eye perceives a sequence of still images as a continuous motion when displayed quickly enough, typically at a rate of 24 frames per second or higher.

Animation can be applied in various forms, including traditional 2D hand-drawn animation, 3D computer-generated imagery, stop-motion using physical objects, and motion graphics. It is commonly used in films, television, video games, and online content for storytelling, visual effects, and entertainment. Animation allows for creative expression and the exploration of imaginative worlds, characters, and narratives that may not be possible in live-action formats.
