Table Tennis

Table Tennis, also known as ping pong, is a racquet sport played on a rectangular table divided by a net. It involves two or four players who hit a lightweight, hollow plastic ball back and forth using small solid rackets. The objective is to score points by hitting the ball in such a way that the opponent is unable to make a correct service or return.

The game is played in singles (one player on each side) or doubles (two players on each side). Scoring typically follows a system where a player receives a point when the opposing player fails to return the ball properly. Table Tennis is governed by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and has official rules that dictate the gameplay, including dimensions of the table, net height, and rules for serves and rallies. It is recognized as an Olympic sport and is popular worldwide for both recreational and competitive play. The sport emphasizes quick reflexes, strategic play, and agility, making it a challenging and engaging game.
